Early Years
On April 20, 2002, Leo Systems officially rebranded as Leo Surface Coatings Pvt. Ltd. The company secured its first major order for an electro-phoretic coating plant to serve GM and Mahindra chassis, marking a significant milestone in its operations. Additionally, Leo received its inaugural export order from Everest Canto Cylinders in Dubai, further establishing its international presence. The company's entry into the automobile sector began with the installation of a powder coating plant for the TATA Ace in Uttarakhand.
Expansion Phase
In 2009, Leo entered the bus painting industry as Tata Marcopolo commenced commercial production at its Dharwad plant in Karnataka, addressing the growing demand for fully built buses. Following this achievement, plans were developed to establish a similar painting facility for GB Polo in Egypt, thereby enhancing Leo's global presence. Simultaneously, Godrej launched a new powder coating line in Chennai for 12-meter components, significantly improving its production capabilities and quality standards
Innovation and Growth
In 2013, Leo secured a significant order for an engine painting line from Perkins India, located in Aurangabad. The following year, in 2014, the company received another major contract for a bus painting line from Scania India in Bangalore. A notable achievement came in 2015 when Leo was awarded a breakthrough order by Godrej & Boyce Co. Ltd for their Powder Coating Line dedicated to a racking system in Chennai. By 2016, Leo expanded its portfolio further by commissioning a Hydraulic Cylinder painting facility for DY Power India at their site in Chakan, Pune.
Entering New Sectors
Leo has made significant strides across various industry sectors. The company successfully implemented a highly acclaimed liquid coating line for Kobelco, a prominent manufacturer of earth-moving equipment, in Sri City, Andhra Pradesh.
